NorthStar Transitions’ outpatient treatment is an option open to Denver- area clients who have recently completed intensive outpatient treatment or residential rehab or have reached a level of recovery success to warrant care at the outpatient level.

Services for outpatient substance abuse clients include a variety of therapies for individuals, groups and families. One-on-one therapy sessions, group therapy, family therapy, and outpatient psychiatric therapy are available in our Denver outpatient program as needed to achieve client success.

Credentials of NorthStar Transitions’ Health Professionals
Therapists at NorthStar Denver outpatient center are licensed in the state of Colorado and have achieved master’s level or higher certification as Licensed Professional Counselors or Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Most of our outpatient team members are also Certified Addiction Counselors or Licensed Addiction Counselors.
Customized Care & Effective Results
The schedule for clients enrolled in outpatient substance dependency treatment includes a one-hour evaluation with a licensed psychiatrist. Follow-up visits are scheduled as needed and usually last 30 minutes. Outpatient clients also see their individual therapists once per week for one hour. An additional one-hour weekly family therapy session is available for clients who choose to participate. Consent for drug and alcohol screening is required of all clients enrolled in NorthStar’s outpatient addiction treatment program.
As an extra service to outpatient program clients, NorthStar Transitions offers the services of a Case Manager to help them find work, enroll in college, meet probation requirements and successfully return to a normal, drug- and alcohol-free life in greater Denver.
